📰 3rd State of AI Report – Nathan Benaich and Ian Hogarth have presented their third annual report on the state of AI. Most of their predictions from the 2019 report have come true. In this year's report, they evaluate current developments in research, talent, industry, and politics and conclude with new predictions for the next 12 months. – Full report on stateofai.com
📖 1. Papers – Last month Microsoft exclusively licensed OpenAI's powerful GPT-3 language model. While this does not seem very open, it will be interesting to see the potential of GPT-3 in widespread use. Here is a video by Two Minute Papers explaining the GPT-3 paper "Language Models are Few-Shot Learners" to remind you of its potential (youtube.com).
💡 2. Use Cases – Type Studio is a text-based video editor. Instead of editing in the classic video time-line, you simply cut your video by editing the transcribed text (typestudio.co).
