As part of the series of events “Digital transformation” In the VDI Forum, our managing director Jürgen Stumpp discussed application ideas for machine learning technologies in logistics with members of the Association of German Engineers and Students at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.

Unlike in previous decades, artificial intelligence is now ready for practical use. Machine learning technologies offer growth-oriented companies new opportunities to modernize operational processes.
The mission of the data science team at AMAI GmbH is to advise, develop and support European companies. Well-known companies such as Deutsche Telekom, Dachser and Telefonica rely on our know-how. Especially in industries with large economies of scale, as is common in logistics, you can achieve great leverage with machine learning systems. Some technologies are exemplified in the supply chain shown below.
In the presentation “State of AI — AI application ideas in logistics”, we will not only present you with current, successfully used applications but also new, economically interesting ideas. In particular, we will address our current project “The Perfect Package”, funded by the AI Innovation Competition of the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism of the State of Baden-Württemberg.
